Vmax200 Hypermax IV

With Aston Martin partnering with us for our Vmax200 halo event Hypermax it was always going to be a special event. But we couldn’t have anticipated to what extent before the day…
The day began with our friends at Aston Martin arriving with some very special kit indeed, the One-77 hypercar, the new GT8, two GT12’s along with a Vanquish, Rapide S and V12 Vantage S, quite the collection!
Vmax200 drivers all had the opportunity for high speed runs in the Aston Martin range and the sign up list was long!
As always at Vmax we had a lot of special cars which joined the plethora of Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and high powered Mercedes AMG cars and Audi RS.
The Aston One-77 had everyone simply drooling and soon the Lexus LFA, Porsche 918 Spyder and Mercedes SLS Black Series were joined by a Lamborghini Aventador SV, Bugatti Veyron, Koewnigsegg CCX and the big gun, the Koenigsegg One:1.
With drivers and guests all enjoying the banter and fun in the driver’s lounge whilst watching Vmax200 TV streamed live around the venue including the cool Aston Martin hospitality unit the air had an air of tension. The reason? A battle for the top spot erupted between ES Motors with their amazing ES1400 Porsche 997 and the One:1. First the Swede took the Vmax200 crown at 230MPH, narrowly pipping former champs Nine Excellence but then ES Motors and their entire pit crew worked on the car and clawed back a 232MPH run!
It was then over to Le Mans racing driver Ollie Web to take to the seat of the Koenigsegg, after a few warm up runs to just over 200mph the car was checked one final time. What happened next?
